Our commitment

Following the Messiah is committed to making its website accessible to people with disabilities, in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

What we have done

• The site can be navigated with a keyboard alone, and interactive elements are reachable in a logical order.
• Text and background colours were chosen to keep contrast readable, and text can be enlarged without breaking the layout.
• Images that carry meaning have alternative text, and decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them.
• Headings, lists and quotations use real semantic markup, so assistive technology can announce the structure of each chapter.
• The site is responsive and works on phones, tablets and desktop computers.
